Important note for our guests

There has been a bed tax in Leipzig since April 1, 2023. It is used to partially finance the tourism infrastructure. All people who spend overnight stays in the city of Leipzig must pay this bed tax.

The bed tax is 5% of the total overnight price, arrival and departure days are calculated as one day.

The following are exempt from the bed tax:

  • children and young people up to the age of 18
  • severely disabled people within the meaning of the Social Code (SGB) IX from a degree of 80%
  • accompanying persons of severely disabled people if the need for accompanying them is proven by the severely disabled person's ID card
